We would like to announce a change of operator for the ‘Willen Lake Bar & Kitchen’ located at our watersports centre at Willen Lake. Benugo have been operating this facility for us but changing circumstances mean they will now be leaving the site on the 19th of March 2023. We would like to thank Benugo and wish them well with their future endeavours.

A spokesperson from Benugo says;
‘We’ve really enjoyed our time at Willen Lake, but the time has come to focus on other areas of our business. We thank The Parks Trust and the people of Milton Keynes for their support.’

We are delighted to announce that our new operators will be ‘Change Please’, an award-winning social enterprise, supporting people experiencing homelessness back in to work.

Cemel Ezel, Founder and CEO of Change Please says;
“Change Please is excited to be opening at Willen Lake. Our cafes not only sell award-winning coffees but are also about fighting homelessness and changing someone’s life for the better. 100% of our profits go into giving people experiencing homelessness, a living wage job, housing, training, onwards opportunities — ultimately a fresh shot at a life. This site will be important in continuing our mission and spreading the word. We cannot wait to serve our great-tasting coffee with everyone, whilst doing good for those in our community who need the support.”

Willen Lake Bar and Kitchen will be closed between the 20th and 28th of March 2023 for refurbishment and will re-open to the public on Wednesday 29th of March. We look forward to welcoming Change Please to the site and details of the new menu on offer will be released shortly.
