About Caldecotte Brook

This linear park follows the course of Caldecotte Brook from the city boundary at Wavendon Gate through Old Farm Park, Browns Wood to the Walnut Tree meeting place at Wadesmill Lane. At this point the brook flows into underground pipes on its way to be deposited into Caldecotte Lake.
At Boyce Crescent opposite the Old Farm Park local centre you will find a small play area and the frog pond with timber viewing platform, see if you can find the frog that the pond was named after. Look out for Kingfishers flying along the course of the brook.

Facilities

There are no public toilets in the park. Nearest facilities are at Walnut Tree Community Centre during opening times. There are no official car parks, but parking is available at several locations including Walnut Tree meeting place, the parish council car park at Elgar Grove and the local centre at Old Farm Park.

Accessibility

Good access with hard surfaced paths all along the park and anti slip on wooden bridges. Very flat, with no gates or steps and several benches along the paths. Maximum gradient 3.3%
