Move over nerf guns and paintball and make way for Gel Blasters, coming to Willen Lake for a one-off special event from 25th May – 2nd June.

Enter the arena with an orb firing Gel Blaster to compete as part of a team to fire on your opponents and see who emerges victorious. If a person is hit, they’ll have to reset by touching back at their base. The winning team will be the one with the fewest resets – a mixture of good aim and dexterity to dodge the incoming Gellets®!

There’s no mess involved, the Gellets® are water-based and disintegrate after impact, so no staining on clothes or the environment. Gellets® are gentle enough so it isn’t painful to play. Available this May bank holiday only, Gel Blaster sessions at Willen Lake are £7.50 per person for 15 minutes of action. Participants must be aged 8 years old to take part.

Extend the family fun with the new Family Paddlesports Experience. Hop onto a mega paddleboard or a multi-seater katakanu and use teamwork to compete in races and mini games. This session runs from 1.30pm – 4.30pm on Monday 27th May, allowing for plenty of paddlesports fun in the sun.

Or take a trip to Treetop Extreme to enjoy an adrenaline filled adventure for the whole family! Scale the high ropes course to climb, swing and jump through a series of obstacles before completing the thrilling Treetop Drop - a 13m freefall from the top of the course!

Treetop Extreme sessions start on the hour between 11am – 3pm everyday throughout the half term. It’s also the meeting point for Archery sessions. Collect a bow & arrow, head to the paddock for some target practice and to compete against your fellow participants to see who’s the best shot. Archery sessions run at 11am on Wednesdays and weekends.

Fall in love with a new watersport at beginner-friendly taster sessions, available in sailing, paddleboarding or kayaking. One of the friendly watersports instructors will demonstrate the basic skills, followed by the chance to practice on the lake. These 90-minute sessions cost £32.50 per person and run on weekends.

Provided the sun stays shining then kids will be able to splash and play all May half term as the outdoor splash park reopens ready for the summer. Splash ‘n’ Play sessions run every hour between 12pm – 4pm and tickets cost £6.50 per child.

Plus there’s plenty of parkland to discover by foot, scooter or cycle, and a large free outdoor Play Area for the little ones to enjoy. It’s the perfect chance to get outside and enjoy some sunshine!
