Take on the Treetop Drop at Willen Lake!

Short on time or not up to climbing around the whole high ropes course? Skip ahead to the best bit: the Treetop Drop.

Located at the heart of Treetop Extreme, the Treetop Drop is a thrilling 13-metre freefall simulator. Take a peek over the edge (if you dare), step off the platform and aim for the orange target as you soar down to the ground. 

Tickets cost £8 and include two goes, so if you don't stick the landing on the first attempt you can climb back to the top and try again!

Participants must be aged six and above and at least 1.1 metres in height.

Please note, these tickets are for the Treetop Drop only. Our General sessions include the high ropes course, climbing wall and Treetop Drop.

Frequently asked questions

  • How old do you have to be to take part?

    Anyone over the age of 6 can participate, as long as they are at least 1.1m tall (Explorer Climb) or at least 1.4m tall (Adventure and Extreme Climb).

    We do ask for an adult to be present on site whilst any under 16’s are taking part in the activity. If you don’t wish to do the activity yourself (even though we highly recommend it!) there are various viewing area and benches around the course. 

  • Do I have to pre-book?

    Online booking is recommended to guarantee your session, but we do often have walk-up availability on the day. Please note, we can only accept card payments at Treetop Extreme.

  • What do I need to wear?

    We require participants to wear footwear that has closed toes and heels, so please don’t turn up in sandals or flip flops! Other than that, just wear comfortable clothing as you will be required to climb, jump, balance and scramble!  

  • What happens if it rains?

    Rain doesn't affect your safety, so it won't affect our opening times! However.... extreme weather conditions such as thunder storms, extreme frost or gale-force winds can cause the site to close, if your booking is affected then the Treetop team will be in contact as soon as possible to rearrange your experience. 

  • Where around Willen Lake are you situated?

    We are situated on the south bank of Willen Lake. There are maps and signage around the lake to point you in the right direction. We have two main car parks at Willen Lake, both of which are within walking distance of Treetop Extreme.

  • Are there any weight limits?

    Yes, participants have to be under 19 stone (120kg) to take part in this activity.

  • When do you open?

    Treetop Extreme is open (weather subjective) every weekend and school holiday. Check online for midweek sessions as the summer season begins!

  • Can I participate if I have a medical condition?

    We want Treetop Extreme to be accessible as possible and we therefore endeavour to accommodate everyone, however due to the nature of the activity this is not always possible. Please give us a call on 01908 246599 if you have any concerns and we will do our best to accommodate any additional needs you may have. 

  • What if I care for someone that would like to participate?

    If you are a legal carer of someone who would like to participate, we’ll let you join them at no extra cost!

  • Can I buy an experience as a gift voucher?

    We sell gift vouchers online for varying denominations or alternatively if you know the session time and date you'd like to gift, just book it as normal and give the booking reference to the recipient.
