Willen Lake offers over an acre of free play with lots of opportunities to climb, balance and slide.
The main play area has a fun nautical theme, fitting in with its lakeside setting. All the equipment has been constructed from the highest quality robinia wood which reflects the natural parkland found at the lake.
It is made up of two parts, the larger area is suitable for slightly older and more adventurous children and has a wide range of equipment, including a large lighthouse tower with tunnel slide, a lookout crow’s nest and a suspension bridge.
The second area is suitable for younger children and those with additional needs and is situated close to the new Watersports Centre. This area is enclosed on three sides making if safe for little ones to explore. It has been designed to allow for pushchairs and wheelchairs to easily access the play equipment. This area has a wheelchair accessible roundabout, a basket swing and extra wide slides so that there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
You will also find a fun log trail next to Splash 'n' Play which includes a scramble net, a wobbly log on springs, and stepping stones. As you're walking clockwise around the lake, you will also pass a play trail which features lots of fun equipment to test your children's balance and skills.
Make a day of it with more fun filled activities at the lake.
