Fishing
Some areas of Willen Lake are available for fishing. Fishing is managed by Milton Keynes Angling Association (MKAA) who are the local coarse (non trout) angling body, making fishing available on the majority of waters where angling is allowed in and around the city. Run by volunteers, MKAA is a non-profit distributing organisation which puts all its income back into the sport.
For more information, including cost of season tickets, visit the MKAA website. You can get in touch with MKAA via email on info@mkaa.co.uk. Please note, day tickets are no longer available.
MKAA membership includes around nine of the 12 miles of canal through Milton Keynes, much of the River Ouzel and the Upper Great Ouse including sections of Stony Ouse and parts of the River Ouse at Wolverton including Wolverton Mill.
Please note the annual close season for fishing runs from 15th March to 15th June inclusive. During this period Willen Lake and other areas across the city are closed to anglers.
